The Rivers State Governor, Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike CON, has flagged off the ceremony for the reconstruction of Mgbuoshimini Link/Ring Road.
Gov. WIKE frowned at the quarrels that existed over the years among the Mgboushimini people adding that the crises have made government and Agip developmental projects to elude them just as he pleaded with them to live peacefully that the health center will be furnished and built including the primary school.
The Governor urged Agip Oil company to extend hands of fellowship to the project, adding that failure for Agip oil company to contribute it’s quota, the company gate will be shut.
Further speaking, Governor Wike also promised to compensate owners of buildings affected during drainage construction just as he tasked the Commissioner of Works to engage sons and daughters of the community during the project exercise.
In his part, the commissioner of Works, Rt. Hon. Dum Dekor while speaking to our correspondent Elfredah Kevin said the project will be ready for commissioning in the next seven months adding that the funds are available for the project.
“The roads have all gone bad for long and it lacks drainages adding that the road is 5.8Kilometer long and half and average rate of 7.5 ring road and a bit less for the main road. We have drains on all the sides of the roads and they are covered, about 12kilometers of drains and we assure you that in the next seven months it will be commissioned. This Administration is everywhere. We are in Obio/Akpor today for flag off, that tells you we are looking at the future of Port Harcourt. The funds are available, the contractors are not complaining they are in the site.”
The Governor who was accompanied by the Deputy, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, the state chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party Bro Felix Obuah and Members of the 8th State House of Assembly, Commissioners and other political appointees.
