RESOLVE DELIBERATE ELECTORAL IRREGULARITIES BEFORE ACTING ON HATE SPEECHES – WIKE TELLS FG

Published by:

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called on the APC Federal Government to address the massive electoral irregularities imposed by the administration on Nigerians, rather than focus on fighting hate speeches with fluid definition.

Governor Wike said though he has respect for the person of President Muhammadu Buhari , the truth remains that the present administration has failed Nigerians through lack of meaningful projects delivery.

The governor who spoke during the Special Thanksgiving Service for PDP candidates of the Rivers South-East Senatorial District on Sunday at All Saints Anglican Cathedral, Bori, said that Rivers people will resist any attempt to rig the 2019 elections.

He said: “Whether it is Army or Police, what happened during the rerun will not happen in 2019. We cannot fold our hands. God has given us the opportunity to defend ourselves ”

The governor added: “I have respect for the President. He is the President of all Nigerians and not of a political party. But the country is stagnant. There is no development going on.

“All you are hearing about the fight against corruption is a mere survival trick by a non-performing government. The only story they have is Diezani. Even that story will soon end “.

The governor stated that he will continue to say the truth whether or not the Federal Government defines it as hate speech. According to him, hate speech is used to suppress the ability of the people to resist the evils being by the APC Federal Government.

Commenting on projects in Ogoniland, Governor Wike stated that his administration has kept his promise to the people. He assured them that more projects will be delivered in the next two years.

Earlier, Senator Olaka Nwogu who spoke on behalf of the PDP Candidates for the Rivers South-East Senatorial District, said if elections in the area were based on the results from the field, PDP would have won all the seats. Continue reading

As Dickson continues to sponsor fake stories against former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, a group the Niger Delta Roundtable reminds him that he is the worst performing Governor in the Niger Delta and the group also alleges that he has paid lawyers to start a frivolous court case against the former President.

We are out to align ourselves with the warning issued by the Niger Delta Youth Movements NDYM against Bayelsa State Governor Seriake Dickson as regards his continued attack against the person of former President Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

It is no secret that Dickson has failed as a governor and it appears the only way he can divert attention from his gross incompetence is to continue to rake up non-existent fallacious issues and sling mud on the former President. We had thought that a governor who was recently adjudged to be the worst performing in the Niger Delta by ThisDay newspapers would gain wisdom, roll up his sleeves and get down to work to ensure the the hapless people of Bayelsa experience the dividends of democracy for the first time in 6 whole years, But not the blustering and shameless governor Seriake Dickson.

He is busy frittering away what is left of Bayelsa resources by buying up media space and the conscience of some hack writers who are out to spray his putrid fart on the pages of Nigerian print and social media. The rest of the resources of Bayelsa people he has brazenly stolen while abandoned projects in Yenagoa and elsewhere continue to cry out for attention.

In the past one week he has been busy running a campaign of calumny against Dr. Goodluck Jonathan and his family in a bid to score cheap political points. He is so desperate that he is even sponsoring negative stories against his government with the aim of blaming it on the former President. The latest in this bizarre campaign was the fake impeachment plot against him which the Governor himself planted in The Nation newspaper in the bid to whip up sentiments from the same good people of Bayelsa whose mandate he has betrayed yet he shamelessly continues to use and abuse the same people. How to Find Healing in Relationships After Trauma – PsychAlive

How to Find Healing in #Relationships After Trauma
Do you ever feel like you need a friend’s support? But then stop yourself from reaching out?
For all of us, healthy relationships matter. In fact, deep relationships are essential to being a healthy human being. For trauma survivors—or those who are experiencing or have experienced post-partum depression or mood disorders (which is also trauma)—the act of deepening relationships can be particularly difficult.

Reaching out in a time of need or asking for help doesn’t come easily to those who have experienced trauma in their lives. Something (seemingly) simple like accepting a compliment may be painfully hard. But the ability to move past these fears and hesitations is crucial on the road to living a full and balanced life.

Kansas City police ordered armed antifa groups and others to remove ammunition from their weapons and from their possession at a rally Saturday morning in Washington Square Park.

The armed individuals peacefully complied. Several with the antifa groups said the action violated their rights under state law allowing them to openly carry weapons. They said they planned to fight the order but decided not to take any action at the park.

“We don’t see any merit to fight it now,” said one person who removed ammunition from a rifle under order of the police.

Exposed: ‘racial bias’ in British criminal justice system

Published by:

Prosecutions against some black and minority ethnic defendants should be deferred or dropped because the criminal justice system is biased against them, according to a highly critical report written by Labour MP David Lammy at the request of the prime minister.

Lammy said allowances should also be made for younger defendants’ immaturity and criminal records sealed to help former offenders find work, adding that statistics suggested discrimination in the UK was worse than in the US in some cases.

“My conclusion is that BAME individuals still face bias, including overt discrimination, in parts of the justice system,” MP says in his report.

His findings are something people from minority ethnic backgrounds have argued for decades.

The MP highlighted the fact that there was “greater disproportionality” in the number of black people in prisons in England and Wales than in the US.

Black people make up 3% of Britain’s population and 12% of the prison population, compared with 13% and 35% respectively, in the US.
