The House of Representatives was thrown into a rowdy session yesterday when the bill seeking to establish the South East Development Commission was stepped down. The sponsor of the bill Hon.Chukwuka said that it was meant to fast track the development of the South East having suffered greatly from the effects of the Nigerian civil war 50 years ago. More so, it would address the several agitations in the area.

However, the Speaker of the House, Honourable Dogara put the motion for the establishment of the South East Development Commission to vote, but it failed to pass second reading as majority of the members rejected the bill.
