NIGER DELTA COALITION OF AGITATORS ISSUE COUNTER EVICTION NOTICE TO NORTHERNERS

Coalition of Niger Delta agitators, including youth leaders  across the region have issued a three month counter quit notice to all Northerners living in the area.

They want Northerners to vacate the region on or before 1st October this year, warning anyone found within the region shall be seen as an intruder and shall be treated as such.

The group issued a statement at the end of a meeting held in Port Harcourt by the leaders of the various group heads that made up the coalition. They stood on their previous decision, demanding for the immediate return of oil blocs owned by Northerners back to the Niger Delta people. Again, all oil and gas companies operating  in oil blocs/wells illegally owned by Northerners should be vacated before October 1st 2017. Continue reading

WELDER HACKS JEALOUS LOVER TO DEATH IN RIVERS

Arugo, welder who killed his lover landlady.

According to our correspondent, a 29 year old welder, Ugochukwu Arugo has been caught for allegedly murdering his landlady lover with a pestle.

The accused  said he hacked his lover, who is also his landlady, Mrs. Ngozi Igwe, to death with a mortar pestle in Aluu community, Ikwerre Local Government area of Rivers State because she was jealous of his wife.

He made this confession on Thursday in Port Harcourt as the Rivers State Police Command paraded over 89 suspects who were arrested within May and June 2017 from different parts of the state in connection with armed robbery, cultism, kidnapping, murder and child trafficking.

Arugo is a native of Isi-Ala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State . He said that his victim (Ngozi) was her widowed landlady and that they have been in a deep relationship since the demise of Ngozi’s husband.

However, the suspect told the Police Commissioner, Ahmed Zaki and journalists at the Officers Mess on William Jumbo, Old Government Reserved Area that trouble started between him and his lover when he (Arugo) went to his village married a wife and brought her to live with him. Continue reading
